A new review of the Canon Pixma MP540 has praised the device for offering users separate colour ink cartridges. gave the multifunction device a five-star rating, noting that it offers great print quality and fast copy accuracy, as well as an efficient ink management solution.

However, the website did note that ink cartridges can be expensive to replace, despite the fact that users will not have to change all of the colours when one runs out.

"As well as the usual colour tanks, the MP540 has a special photo black ink to improve the quality of pictures," the website added.

"The memory card reader allows users to print directly from a camera's memory card without first having to transfer the pictures to a computer."

In other news, a review of the Samsung CLP-660ND by the Good Gear Guide has suggested that the printer suffers from poor print quality.
