Entry-level printer buyers have been urged to make the move away from monochrome printing as colour printers and colour printer ink cartridges become increasingly affordable.

Following on from the recent launch of the Canon Selphy CP780, which was cited as a sensible choice for home users, it has been announced that UK consumers are to be given the chance to snap up a Dell 1320c printer for just £80.

The offer, which is being made available through the website, not only allows buyers to take advantage of a compact colour home printer, but its high printer ink efficiency levels means that the Dell device is both affordable and environmentally-friendly.

"The 1320c is easy to install and easy to use: consumables are easy to buy and easy to fit, and for maximum flexibility a wide range of media types are supported," the website noted.

"Best of all, with its compact space-saving design and small footprint the 1320c will fit onto any desk."
