Printer Manufacturer Helps Out Small Businesses
Printer and ink cartridge manufacturer HP has increased its push to help small and medium-sized businesses through tough economic times.
The electronics giant will offer these firms HP LaserJet printers, as well as computers and networking devices, in order to help them to reduce their carbon footprint and save money.
Kathy Chou, vice-president of worldwide small and midsize business strategy at HP, said that small businesses were "the pulse of the economy" and needed to be provided with "a boost as the economy rebounds".
Ms Chou added: "All businesses must find a reliable foundation upon which to build their futures and for [small businesses], HP's new offerings will help sustain their well-being and prepare them for upcoming growth."
HP said it hoped that by allowing smaller firms to have a strong technological base from which to grow, they will be better equipped for any economic turnaround.
Saladino's, a California-based restaurant supplier that has benefitted from working with HP, said that they found the offer of "reliable technology infrastructure … critical to meeting customer needs".
HP's multifunction inkjet printers for small businesses are available with wired or wireless networking options and include models with an optional fax included.
