The Sunday Times won the title of best Digitally Printed Newspaper of the Year after Miller Newsprint started using Kodak printer ink technology.

At the 2011 Newspaper Awards in London, the firm was given the recognition for its production quality.

After Miller Newsprint invested in Kodak Versamark Printing Systems it claims it has helped attract more customers to its publications.

Malcolm Miller, chief executive of the Miller Group, said: "When we first made the investment we had to overcome some negative perceptions regarding the quality of print.

"The award goes to show just how good that quality is and why our customers were right to choose us to help them grow their business in such challenging times.”

Recently, printer ink supplier Kodak set up a partnership with VMware to launch the Virtual Operating Environment which they claim enables firms to be more efficient with their document production.
