Inkjet company Kodak has announced a new partnership with Alfresco, which aims to deliver improved content and document management services to customers.

Roberto Colangelo, Kodak's general manager for worldwide services, believes that the move will help to address the need for complex content and document solutions in the market.

Mr Colangelo expects that the partnership will have a long-lasting impact on the markets that the companies operate in.

"Kodak is aggressively moving beyond scanning to participate in more sophisticated content and document management services," he continued.

The partnership will lead to modern databases and repositories that enable citizens to access information such as land records with ease.

In recent weeks, Kodak unveiled new features for its MAGNUS 800 Platesetter device.

The system is designed for medium and large commercial printers that need high-quality ink output and strong productivity.

It includes Kodak Squarespot Imaging Technology, providing a maximum resolution of 10,000 dpi.
