Printer company Konica Minolta has been named as a leader in Gartner's Leaders Quadrant of the 2012 Magic Quadrant for MFPs (multi-function printers) and Printers Worldwide.

The accreditation serves as a guide for mid-sized and large organisations across the world and evaluates technology providers that specialise in printing products and services, with Gartner customers looking for providers that can match their global presence.

Rick Taylor, president and chief operating officer at Konica Minolta Business Solutions, said: "Our continued position in the leaders' quadrant demonstrates the success of our business strategy to provide customers with comprehensive print solutions."

Mr Taylor explained that the company is devoted to offering customers the best possible user experience, solutions and services to help them operate more efficiently.

News of Konica Minolta's placing in the Magic Quadrant comes after ITWeb reported that the company has introduced its EveryonePrint technology to companies in South Africa.

It enables firms to develop a private hosted cloud printing environment.
