Konica Minolta has announced a strategic alliance with Hyland Software to develop a new content management solution.

It will merge Hyland's OnBase enterprise content management (ECM) software with Konica Minolta's bizhub product line.

This integration is designed to maximise organisational productivity and efficiency while delivering better customer service, guaranteeing that customers stay competitive.

Bill Priemer, president and chief executive of Hyland Software, said: "This partnership is a natural alliance between two leading solutions providers.

"Our shared focus in the healthcare and higher education industries enables us to continue to be the leading ECM offering in those markets as well as expand our global customer adoption."

The past year has been a successful one for both companies, as they both experienced continued growth and awards.

Konica Minolta was awarded 2012 Document Imaging Solution Line of the Year by Buyers Laboratory, while Hyland Software was named as a leader in the 2012 Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Content Management.
