Ink specialist Kyocera has awarded Kellys Printing Solutions with its Green Partner Plus Accreditation.

The certification comes after Kellys improved its sustainable practices, with Kyocera noting that the award indicates the significant investment made by the company to become greener.

Mr Mark Wilkinson, operations director of Kellys, said: "As a business we are very committed to sustainability and we felt that this was an important and valuable accreditation to achieve."

Mr Wilkinson explained that he believes sustainability and its subsequent savings will provide a driving force for businesses over the next ten years.

He also emphasised that he is looking forward to growing the business in conjunction with Kyocera.

The topic of sustainability was recently highlighted by Gregg Corbett, marketing director at Avery and founder of Green Office Week, who claimed that many British companies are losing money due to inadequate environmental practices.

Mr Corbett advised that cash can be saved if firms are more conscious of their energy use.
