Delicious New Lexmark Printer Launched
Recently, we reported about a US firm that launched a printer designed to help people make cakes, by printing out a range of decorative motifs, numbers and letters onto frosted glass, dough and sweets.
One company has gone a step further and made a yummy cake in the style of a Lexmark printer.
Recently, freelanceadvisor.co.uk held a competition to give away one of Lexmark's Pinnacle Pro devices.
Feeling sad at letting its printer go, the website's owners immediately hopped onto microblogging site Twitter where a cake firm in Derbyshire offered to make it a replica Pinnacle – albeit made out of flour, eggs, butter and sugar.
Reviewing the tasty new device, the website explained that while its Twitter integration left a lot to be desired, it is certainly very economical – with zero power consumption, no ink cartridges, no scanning function and a horribly low page-per-minute output (zero).
Looks as though it might fare better on the taste test, though!
The company that made the scrumptious creation, The Cake Nest, will be selling slices of the cake for charity on its website.
