Printer ink company Lexmark has been described as a Managed Print Services (MPS) leader in a new report.

The Forrester Wave report by Forrester Research analysed the ink company, which picked up the highest potential scores for its strategy and market experience, while also being commended in other areas.

Craig Le Clair, Forrester vice president and principal analyst, said: "While many MPS initiatives focus on device consolidation models, Lexmark Global Services starts with print policies driven by print 'use cases' that define how users print."

Mr Le Clair also underlined that Lexmark is striving to streamline its business processes and offer workflow solutions which enable them to print in lower amounts.

Lexmark recently released its quarterly report, which revealed that the company has witnessed a year-on-year drop in revenue.

The company generated $992.5 million (£616 million) in sales during the four month period, which marks a decline from the $1.03 billion that it picked up in the same time frame 12 months ago.
