Lexmark printers have been upgraded with a host of new capabilities.

The company’s range of laser and multifunction product (MFP) devices have been refreshed with wireless capabilities, enhanced functionality and improved usability.

Tyrone Malan, Lexmark product specialist at distributor Drive Control Corporation (DCC), said: “In the past, having the ability to print wirelessly meant purchasing a device with a wireless card, and adding wireless functionality after purchase was a complex and often expensive task.

“Resellers and distributors also had to keep different models of printer in stock to cater for users who required wireless.”

Lexmark’s wireless pod innovation makes it possible for selected laser printers and MFPs to be easily converted to wireless as an after-market solution.

The product runs through a USB port, eliminating the need for cables and allowing companies to print from a PC or notebook within the Wi-Fi range.

Lexmark also boasts an array of smart touchscreen printers and MFPs.
