Nearly 80 Percent Of Staff Print Personal Documents At Work
Almost 80 per cent of staff print personal documents in their workplace, a new study has suggested.
Research from Oki found that 79 per cent of workers opt to print such materials in their office, with nine per cent admitting that they do so at least once a day, citing a lack of a printer at home (38 per cent) and convenience (37 per cent) of this.
Graham Lowes, UK marketing director at Oki Systems UK, said that he does not want to see companies suddenly enforcing “draconian rules” to prevent workers from printing what they need to.
“However, it's frustrating to see this wastage when, by taking expert advice from a managed document solutions provider, gaining control and adopting some straightforward measures, organisations can cut their printing costs by up to 30 per cent,” Mr Lowes stated.
Oki advised workers to turn their printers off at night and begin embracing double-sided printing, which can save them significant amounts of paper and money.
