Oki MB471 Collects Best Buy Award
The Oki MB471 laser printer model has picked up the Best Buy award from ITProPortal.com.
It is the follow-up from the manufacturer's MB461 and is aimed at micro or small offices with relatively heavy-duty print, scan and copy requirements.
The pivotal difference between the two devices is that the MB471 offers faxing capabilities, but David Stone from the website believes that the newer model is a better option for other reasons.
"The Oki MB471 doesn't stand out for its speed or output quality, but it delivers a good balance of those two important elements, plus paper handling and MFP features that make it a highly attractive choice," he explained.
The reviewer added that the system acts as a "workhorse MFP (multi-function printer)" for a small office.
More innovations can be expected from Oki in the future, as the company has announced that it will appear at this year's International Society for Technology in Education tradeshow and conference.
It will demonstrate how schools can boost their printing efficiency and use colour ink.
