OKI's MC362w printer has picked up an excellent rating from PC Mag.

The machine collected a four star rating and was praised for its ability to print, copy, scan and fax, while it also boasts duplex printing.

PC Mag writer David Stone cited the system's subpar photo quality for a colour laser-class printer as one of its few drawbacks.

"The OKI MC362w MFP color laser is a little weak on photo quality, but does better than most on features that matter more in an office, including paper handling and both text and graphics quality," Mr Stone explained.

He went on to say that the system delivers reasonable speed and more than acceptable output quality for text and graphics, while also providing capable paper handling.

He described the machine as "impressive", calling it an "easy pick" for the editor's choice award.

When considering a printer, consumers should look at running costs as well as the retail price, as these two combine to make up the overall expense of a machine.
