Famous pen maker Parker will sponsor the Natural History Museum's ice rink as part of a new marketing campaign, it has been reported. According to, Parker's campaign will invite people to submit a personal message of no more than 50 characters beginning with the words "What if...".

The winner will receive a trip to New York where their message will be projected onto the side of the Museum of Arts and Design, and, of course, they'll win a Parker fountain pen, too. Parker will sponsor the ice rink at the Natural History Museum until January 9th, the news provider said. It will also launch national competitions in the press for people to win tickets to attend skating events.

"As with any retail brand, Christmas is an extremely important period for us. We want to make sure we stand out from the crowd this year which is why we are adopting an approach which covers off a number of disciplines," Deborah Hunt, marketing manager for Parker, was quoted by the news provider as saying.

The firm was founded in 1888.
