Fans of Mont Blanc, the masterminds behind timeless high-end writing instruments, may be interested to hear that the firm has developed what it believes is "fraud proof" ink.

The new innovation is made of components containing an invisible, inimitable, botanical code, which is similar to that of the human DNA code, Live Trading News reports.

Available from Spring 2010, a range of never-before-seen writing instruments with the Personal Code Ink will be offered for the first time in handcrafted Mont Blanc pens that the company hopes will "facilitate the manual art of self-expression".

In a statement on the product, the firm said: "Offering a sleek, personalised, black lacquer precious wooden box, Mont Blanc's two Personal Code Ink Meisterstuck writing instruments will be accompanied with a black pouch and gold-plated fittings.

"Mont Blanc Personal Code Ink edition comes with letter or memento bearing the owner’s handwriting to verify authenticity."

This news comes soon after Mont Blanc was forced to withdraw from a circulation a pen that featured the image of Gandhi.
