Printer Manufacturer Placed In Green List
Canon UK and Ireland has been placed in the annual Sunday Times Green List.
As a result, it is the only electronics company to be included in the list – with it being placed at number 32 thanks to a green score of 84 per cent.
According to Canon, the environment is at the heart of its business, which can be seen with its pioneering of the collection and recycling of used toner cartridges in 1990.
The company is "delighted" to feature in the list again, according to Andy Vickers, managing director of the printer manufacturer.
Mr Vickers added: "We are committed to improving our working environment and our work practices in order to minimise our impact on the environment."
Meanwhile, last week, IT Pro's Simon Williams wrote that Canon had got its priorities right with the i-SENSYS LBP7200Cdn colour printer.
The reviewer said the device achieves the right balance between quality and features.
