Hewlett Packard (HP) has been selected as the printer and ink solution for one expanding company based in Verona, Italy.

The Indigo Press 5500 has been installed at Linea 4 as the firm looks to grow its operations to provide web-to-print services as part of its digital reproduction business.

Giancarlo Finetto, the founder of the organisation, said he had been considering the move to the new technology for some time having had good experiences with the HP brand since 2001.

"We wanted to further differentiate our business and felt that web-to-print was the right option. We chose HP Indigo technology to support and help us to succeed in our new project," he explained.

Mr Finetto added having seen other systems emerge from other providers, the quality of the Indigo series had been the only one to provide the kind of "sharp images and life-like colour" required by his firm.

HP recently announced the launch of several new ProLiant servers.
