Brother MFC-5890CN Ink Cartridge Printer Panned
The Brother MFC-5890CN offers a large clear LCD screen but this is not enough to make up for its poor output quality and slow print times.
That is according to a review of the device by cnet.co.uk's resident printer expert Justin Yu, who claimed that the device is one of the worst to have been tested in its labs.
The printer expert explained that the MFC-5890 is priced from £150 to £200 but doesn't possess the features or the design to warrant such a hefty fee.
Mr Yu added suggested that the Brother ink cartridge device features an "ugly and impractical" design, adding that its lack of wireless networking puts it at a disadvantage compared to rival devices.
"The Brother MFC-5890CN all-in-one printer, scanner, fax and copier leaves many unanswered questions in its wake," Mr Yu concluded.
"Who designed this eyesore? Why is it so expensive? Did Brother forget to test out the features before production? What have we ever done to deserve this?"
Meanwhile, IT Pro has praised the Lexmark C736dn, claiming that it offers users a printing solution that is fairly priced and easy to get running.
