HP Photosmart Is A Fanzine Editors Dream
The new HP Photosmart printer has been described as a fanzine editor's dream in a new review, although its ink cartridge usage was questioned.
Leander Kahey, writing for the Cult of Mac website, said that the device can be used as a printer, scanner, fax machine and copier, is easy to set up and can be used to print images taken using an iPhone.
The reviewer praised many areas of the Photosmart including its build quality, the device's set up over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and connection to an Ethernet network.
Mr Kahey said: "Then you're impressed by everything it does. This Photosmart is pretty versatile, great for home or a small office where you're printing one day and faxing the next. It whips out black-and-white Word docs in a jiffy, but also does a great job printing snaps.
"Photos are as good as lab prints, especially if you're printing iPhone snaps of the kids to put on the fridge."
The only criticisms were leveled at the sheet feeder and the amount of ink used with colour cartridges.
