The DCP-375CW printer from Brother has been praised as "one of the finest multi-function devices (MFDs) available on the market in a new review.

Writing for Register Hardware, Alistair Dabbs, said that the device is both "swanky" and "incredibly compact".

Brother's machine can print images from memory sticks and xDigital formats while the main menu is located on the front with controls for the scanner and accessing a camera card.

Mr Dabbs said: "Without doubt, the Brother DCP-375CW is one of the finest MFDs you can buy in its price range, and it looks damn smart too. Issues such as speed and the cost of consumables apply to just about any inkjet, but do be aware that lots of borderless photos will drink up all your ink quickly.

"Any other doubts we might have had were swept away by Brother's generous inclusion of Wi-Fi connectivity as standard - a great feature in any printer."

The reviewer added that four-colour A4 print-outs cost approximately eight pence per sheet.
