Lady Gaga Unveils A New Printer
If you were asked to name the most unlikely person to unveil a new printer at a geeky trade show, who would be the first name on your lips?
Lady Gaga, right?
Well, the most famous woman in pop duly turned up at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas – the hottest tech expo on the planet – to unveil her new collaboration with Polaroid this week.
Sadly, the meat dress was nowhere to be seen.
Gaga showcased several new gadgets, all being promoted under the "Grey Label by Haus of Gaga" moniker, PCWorld reported.
The GL10 is a mobile photo printer which can link up via Bluetooth with any supporting mobile phone, with, curiously, the exception of the iPhone. It will enable users to print from their phones, on the go, wherever they are.
"I suppose many of you here are nerdy enough to carry around a mobile printer with you," PCWorld quoted Gaga as telling the crowd. "I know I will."
The other devices included a pair of sunglasses with built-in cameras and a Polaroid camera which can record photos digitally.
What next for Gaga? Promoting the recycling of printer ink cartridges? Releasing a concept album about printers? A dress made out of toner? Who knows!
