Focus On Cheapest Printers Rather Than Those With Least Expensive Ink Cartridges
Many individuals would be best off choosing a printer that uses the cheapest ink cartridges, it has been suggested.
Speaking to the Business Standard, Ramprasad S M, a senior business manager for the Consumer Product Group at Epson India, feels that many people attempt to find a printer that utilises ink cartridges that offer them the best value for money.
However, because of their small usage, this approach could prove a false economy for individuals concerned about the average cost of printing each page through their printer ink.
The Epson employee told the publication: "What needs to be factored is the cost of buying a single cartridge, because the user will often have situations where he needs to print just five to ten pages urgently.
"When choosing a printer, buy one that includes printing in colour and separate ink cartridges for each colour."
One way for an individual to make some financial savings when it comes to printer ink is to opt for a larger cartridge that will last longer.
