How to clean your printer
Ensuring that your printer is clean is important to make sure that it runs and works effectively.
Everybody knows that it's important to keep your computer and its accessories clean - especially things with moving parts, such as printers and scanners. It's obviously good to keep your mouse and keyboard free from dust and dirt for hygiene reasons but not keeping your printer and other machines in good order could mean that the standard drops. It's important to keep the inside and outside of your printer clean to ensure that nothing damages the machine or lowers the standard of your images and documents.
Inkjet printers have their own internal cleaning suite, meaning that you can run this once or twice if you notice a drop in printing quality. However, most printer problems are usually caused by the ink cartridges so it's best to ensure there is nothing getting in the way of the ink head before you run the program. After a cleaning cycle, print a couple of test pages with black and each colour before you perform the action again. For laser printers, you will need to clean it with specialised sheets to ensure that it stays in top standard.
