3D Printed Watches... made from Wood
Many large jewellery makers are turning to 3D printing to create designs which would previously have been impossible to create using traditional manufacturing methods. An increasingly popular method of using this technology is 3D printing molds which can then be used to cast a piece of precious metal like gold or silver.
Jelwek, a Polish-based 3D printing company, create unique 3D printed watches, producing timepieces that are interesting to look at, lightweight, and made from wood. Printed using a wood/PLA composite material, Jelweck’s 3D printed watches are available in a lighter and a darker shade of wood and weigh just 44 grams each.
