Jaffrey Academy becomes latest school to recycle ink cartridges

Students at the Jaffery Academy have set an example to all users of printer cartridges by pledging to protect the environment by recycling their ink and at the same time earning themselves a range of certificates and a new printer.

The school has performed the best out of a number of institutions in the Inkjet Recycling Programme, and has been awarded with a Tree Growing Programme sponsored by Coastaltec, a new brand for remanufactured toner cartridges and ink cartridges.

Students who did their best to recycle their printer ink were awarded with prizes ranging from an Epson all-in-one printer, to an in-car mp3 player and a 2GB flash drive.

In a statement to the winners, the firm said: "Coastal Image Technologies congratulates the school and the students who took tremendous effort towards this programme; we hope they will continue with the same spirit."

Recycling ink cartridges can help to keep the costs associated with maintaining an office - be it at home or the workplace - down.
