Healthy Pets Insurance company has been honoured for the second year in a row in a sustainable business awards line-up for its work in recycling, among other things, ink cartridges.

The firm has reached the finals of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Sustainable Business Awards, and will find out whether it has been successful in the ceremony on May 20th 2010.

In 2007, the company achieved a Carbon Neutral Certificate and implemented an office policy to shred 100 per cent of waste paper, return all printer ink cartridges and recycle all cardboard.

Mark Effenberg, chief executive, said: "The whole company is extremely pleased that we have reached the final of these wards for a second time.

"Whilst we acknowledge that carbon offsetting is not a 'cure' for climate change, it can help raise awareness and reduce the impact of our actions."

Offices and schools alike can work together to reduce their carbon emissions and raise money for good causes by clubbing together to recycle ink cartridges.
