Businesses reminded of benefits of recycling ink cartridges
Businesses have been reminded of the benefits of recycling ink cartridges by some green experts.
Businesses have been reminded of the benefits of recycling ink cartridges, toner cartridges and any other printer ink by a number of high-profile British environment experts.
Steve Creed, Wrap's director of business growth said that 72 per cent of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) were interested in reducing their waste but 41 per cent said they needed help to make it happen, People Management reports.
He added: "If you're a large business you will be actively sought after by recycling organisations. SMEs could get left behind if they're not given enough support."
Ben Murray, director of Carbon Smart, said: "Businesses that say they don't have the money to look at recycling will soon have to because of the cost of sending waste to landfill."
The example of Fosters Bakery, who collect ink cartridges in recycling bags before sending them on to a registered charity is also given by the magazine.
