Businesses reminded of benefits of recycling printer ink
A more sensible approach to printer ink use can help businesses save money.
Businesses have been reminded of the benefits of recycling ink cartridges, toner cartridges and any other printer ink by the director of Managed Enterprise Services for the Imaging and Printing Group of HP India.
Writing on expresscomputeronline.com, Nitin Hiranandani outlines a number of measures that businesses can take to keep their costs associated with printing down to a bare minimum and to remain - or become - an environmentally-friendly organisation.
He wrote: "Allowing users to print only what they want, this helps the organisation save on both printer ink and paper.
"Having the printing infrastructure planned and managed by a vendor means that organizations spend less time fixing printing problems, ordering toner cartridges, printer ink and paper or implementing new document management and workflow solutions."
This advice comes soon after businesses were reminded of the need to recycle ink cartridges by two British environment experts.
One of them was quoted as saying that 72 per cent of small and medium-sized enterprises were interested in reducing their waste but 41 per cent said they needed help to make it happen.
