Ink Cartridge Maker Ricoh Wins EFQM Sustainability Award
Ricoh, the ink cartridge and printer manufacturer, has won a sustainability award from the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM).
The company was honoured with the EFQM's Sustainability Good Practice Competition accolade for its customer focused optimisation programme.
Furthermore, Ricoh's initiative helps companies to become more carbon neutral in all aspects of their business operations including their printer ink services.
EFQM awarded Ricoh with the honour after it received the most online votes from the public and the support of an independent judging panel.
James Deacon, head of corporate responsibility at Ricoh, said: "Winning the EFQM award recognises Ricoh’s commitment to pairing environmental impact reduction with sensible, cost-effective document processes."
Recently, the ink cartridge manufacturer's Process Efficiency Index revealed that businesses in the UK and Europe could be losing out on a potential profit increase of £41 billion a year.
This is due to inefficient printer ink and document processing methods being used by companies.
