Samsung launches Xpress NFC printers
Printing expert Samsung has unveiled two new NFC-capable printers at a industry tech event.
The CeBIT 2014, taking place in Hannover, Germany, saw the Korean manufacturer announce its latest products, which are aimed at small and medium businesses. Its new set of machines is accompanied by a brand new version of the Cloud Print app to increase security for business users.
Samsung's Xpress C1860 series are colour printers that include the Xpress C1810W and Xpress C1860FW sporting two processors and a decent amount of RAM (256MB), aimed at businesses with a focus on high quality without wasting time. However, for the smaller business there is the Samsung Xpress M2885 - a monochrome machine with just one 600MHz chip and 128MB of memory.
Both units will be able to come as a sole printer or be adapted into a MFP machine, giving users the ability to tailor Samsung's technology for their needs. This means small companies can save space and money by having one printer that can scan, copy and fax too or just order a single unit for each. The company hasn't announced pricing yet but said that the printers will hit UK markets from April.
