Three men in Pennsylvania, US, committed a scam that robbed printing giant Xerox of $90,000 (£55,743), according to police in the region.

The men were arrested on Monday after allegedly ordering goods through shell companies based in the town of Bensalem and paying with fraudulent accounts.

Two men from the Philadelphia suburb Elkin Park, Ryan Allan Pollack and Evan F Appel, were arrested along with Nathan Allen Kriegler from the Pennsylvania town of Northampton.

According to police reports, the trio stole boxes of ink sticks used in the Xerox Phaser 7500 colour printer, although the goods have yet to be recovered.

After their arrest earlier this week, Mr Kriegler said in a statement that the group had intended to pay the company for the goods and were planning to do so within the legal 60-day period.
