Xerox has been named a market leader for its provision of managed print services (MPS). Research firm Quocirca named Xerox in its MPS Comes of Age report. For the second consecutive year, it awarded Xerox a leading position.

The report looks at the "changing landscape" of MPS throughout Europe, highlighting Xerox's ability to deliver to businesses of all sizes. It points out that since 2001, 100 per cent of Xerox's large business MPS clients have renewed, and continue to renew, their contracts.

Next year, Quocirca forecasts Xerox to increase its market lead by combing its ACS outsourcing services with its traditional offerings.

"Xerox's continued leadership position reflects the fact that larger enterprises are increasingly looking for innovation and business-process improvement as well as cost savings,” said Louella Fernandes, principal analyst at Quocirca.

Recently, Xerox announced it will spend $25 million (£15 million) to expand its toner cartridges plant in New York.
