Fuji Xerox may miss its revenue target for the financial year commencing April 1st 2013.

This is the admission of the firm's president Tadahito Yamamoto, who has told Bloomberg that business is slowing down in China, providing further worries along with the slowdown of investment from corporate clients in western markets.

Fuji Xerox set a revenue estimate of 1.1 trillion yen (£7.8 billion) for 2013/14.

Mr Yamamoto explained to the news provider: "Even if we manage to achieve our earnings plan this fiscal year, it will still be quite hard for us to boost sales enough to reach target."

He added that the firm is yet to review its medium-term management goals.

Despite these worries, Xerox recently collected Keep America Beautiful's Vision for America award, after it took a leadership role in social and environmental stewardship and philanthropy.

This honour is presented every year to distinguished leaders of corporations, with Xerox being commended for lowering its energy use and printing waste by up to 30 per cent.
